JFT Course
Start with the foundations of Japanese through reading, writing, listening and speaking. Our lessons help students build everyday communication skills while preparing for the JFT-Basic examination.
Agriculture is familiar to many Sri Lankan families. For students who want to build on that experience and explore agricultural work in Japan, learning the language and developing relevant skills are important first steps.
At OASCO Japanese Language Institute, an SLBFE Approved Japanese Language Training & Skill Development Institute, we bring Japanese language learning and agriculture skills training together to help students prepare for their next step.
Start with the foundations of Japanese through reading, writing, listening and speaking. Our lessons help students build everyday communication skills while preparing for the JFT-Basic examination.
Continue developing your spoken Japanese with lessons focused on daily life and agricultural work. Students practise understanding instructions, asking questions and communicating with colleagues.
This course focuses on practical communication rather than taking the JLPT N3 examination. Students are not required to sit the N3 examination as part of this training.
Develop your understanding of agricultural work through lessons on farming tasks, tools, workplace safety and good working practices. Our training helps students connect their existing knowledge with the skills they will need to develop for agricultural work in Japan.
Our lessons give students opportunities to speak, ask questions and practise what they learn. Teachers explain each topic step by step and guide students through activities that connect Japanese language learning with agricultural situations.
We also help students practise introducing themselves and answering interview questions so they can express their experience and goals more clearly.

For students living far from a language institute, attending classes can be a challenge. We have received requests from students asking us to bring Japanese language lessons to their own communities so they can prepare for interviews and opportunities in Japan.
Dehiyathakandiya is one of those communities. In response to local interest and requests, OASCO is now conducting its first batch of Japanese language classes there.
These classes give students the opportunity to begin learning closer to home, with guidance as they develop their language skills and prepare for interviews.
Japan’s SSW Agriculture visa category continues to attract strong interest among our students and applicants. Through OASCO Foreign Employment, eligible candidates can attend interviews and take the next step towards an agriculture career in Japan.
OASCO Foreign Employment has successfully hosted more than 10 agriculture interviews so far this year. These interviews give applicants the opportunity to demonstrate their Japanese language ability, agricultural knowledge and readiness to work in Japan.
Our first agriculture interview in Dehiyathakandiya marked a special milestone, welcoming more than 500 applicants in a single day.
The response from Dehiyathakandiya and the surrounding villages exceeded our expectations. Seeing so many motivated applicants from this rural community come forward with hopes for their future encouraged us to continue bringing opportunities closer to students across Sri Lanka.
After passing the interview and receiving confirmation of selection, successful applicants can begin the required documentation and visa application process with guidance from OASCO Foreign Employment.
Once the necessary approvals and visa are granted, they can prepare to travel to Japan and begin their employment.
After completing their training, eligible students can explore agriculture opportunities in Japan through OASCO Foreign Employment, an SLBFE Registered Agency, Licence No: 3789.
OASCO Foreign Employment was established to give our students more opportunities beyond the Student Visa pathway. We help eligible applicants pursue employment across SSW visa categories, bringing language training, skill development and recruitment support together in one place.
Students can move forward with a team familiar with their training, experience and goals. After the Certificate of Eligibility (COE) process, we continue to assist with:
From learning Japanese and developing agriculture skills to completing departure preparations, OASCO guides students at every step towards their future in Japan.
